You can now watch the full Pink Floyd new album press kit on the Amazon website which runs for a full 10 minutes. Previously there have been two shorter electronic press kit videos (EPKs) made available but this is the full one for you to enjoy. The video tells the story of how the new Pink Floyd album The Endless River came about and offers some anecdotes about its recording process, including being cramped in a very small studio space with lots of recording equipment and recalling being banned from the Royal Albert Hall where they recorded Richard Wright playing the organ there which features on the new album. David Gilmour has told Rolling Stone magazine that his new album is “coming along very well” and that he believes it will be released in 2015. Read about David Gilmour New Album 2024. In addition to a new David Gilmour album, there will also be a tour, but it won’t be a massive 200 date tour, more like an “old man’s tour”. David was 68 in March 2014 and touring does take its toll! David said, “There haven’t been many discussions about the tour. But places like Radio City Music Hall sound like the right sort of vibe for me. Lyricist and writer Polly Samson wrote the lyrics to Pink Floyd’s new song Louder Than Words which appears on their forthcoming album The Endless River. This is not the first time Polly has written lyrics for Pink Floyd as she also did an excellent job on The Division Bell and her husband David Gilmour’s solo album On An Island. David Gilmour said “there is something magical about the music the three of us make together” and this song is about capturing that. Your humble narrator thinks Polly has done a great job with the lyrics. The ambitious Pink Floyd exhibition in Milan, Italy called “The Pink Floyd Exhibition – Their Mortal Remains”, has officially been cancelled by the promoters Evolve Devolve. For those people who have booked flights and hotels there could either be a lot of disappointment or an exciting holiday in Italy planned. Your humble narrator almost booked tickets and would be most annoyed with the cancellation, but make the most of the situation and have a great trip anyway. Who knows, someone may set up a big fan meetup or something. Not quite compensation though. A video has appeared on Pink Floyd’s Youtube channel containing an interview with David Gilmour and Nick Mason on Pink Floyd’s new album The Endless River. It also contains a preview of the song Louder Than Words which the four part album slowly builds up to over 55 or so minutes. Gilmour also suggests that this is the final output from the band, Richard Wright’s tribute. Some of you will be very eager to get a preview of the lyrics to Louder Than Words whereas others will not want to hear until they have the full album.
