Delicate Sound of Thunder DVD 2013

Eagle Vision TV are to broadcast Pink Floyd’s Delicate Sound of Thunder video recording  this Spring 2013.

A spectacular concert film from Pink Floyd’s A Momentary Lapse Of Reason Tour. Filmed at New York’s Nassau Colliseum in 1989 using 27 cameras, this concert sees David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason on fine form, performing classic after classic including Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Time, Comfortably Numb and Wish You Were Here.

Pink Floyd at London 2012 Olympics?

Seems the Pink Floyd rumour mill is hotting up for 2012 with predictions by some news outlets that Pink Floyd may be performing at the London 2012 Olympics. As much as I would like to see that happen, I think it very unlikely they would. However, the colosing ceremony is 12th August I believe so Roger is not touring at that point as far as officially announced dates go and he did say in a Rolling Stone interview last month that he is performing in August 2012. Who knows!

Pink Floyd last got together for Live 8 with Roger Waters joining old band mates from Pink Floyd David Gilmour, the late Rick Wright and Nick Mason. It would be nice for them to get back together again but Nick Mason said last year they would only do it for a good cause. The olympics is not a “good cause” as such, its  a sporting event not feeding the starving.

So, will will see if Pink Floyd play at the London 2012 Closing Ceremony. LOL

Pink Floyd News is few and far between now that they are not a touring band nor releasing new material in the form of studio albums. This is a consequence of being a fan of “old music”. This is a terrible shame. I would like nothing more than to report the Pink Floyd news that Roger Waters has joined old band mates Nick Mason and David Gilmour to do another Pink Floyd album in 2012/2013. Now that would be excellent Pink Floyd news indeed!

Due to Pink Floyd news being hard to come by, I am sure many of you would like to find out as soon as things are announced. There are three main methods to do this. There is Pink Floyd News on our homepage, our Pink Floyd News Letter and Pink Floyd Social Media for news on Twitter and Facebook.
