I would put "Don't Leave Me Now" as more of a love song than "The Nile Song". And I feel as well "Louder Than Words" counts as it's about the love the band have for the music.

Those aren't really love songs... they're just songs that have a few lines that imply a relationship of some sorts IMHO

without looking at danielcaux's list, here's my list:

1. Money [floyd loves money]
2. Sheep [Waters loves sheep]
3. Your Possible Pasts [the ghost of a smile]
4. Don't leave Me Now [he loves her. that's why he beats her to a pulp]
5. Mother [mama loves her baby]
6. Wish You Were Here [self explanatory]
7. Several Species Of Small Furry Animals [for obvious reasons]
8. Love You [see: Wish You were Here]
9. Terrapin [and I mean you]

that's it. 9 love songs.

Many people mistake Stay and Summer '68 for love songs but those are Lust songs. Love Song by Barrett is not a love song but he "likes her still".

If we're going by the logic of the online list, we might as well add 'Poles Apart' as a love song because of the line "I thought of you and the years of all the sadness fell away from me"

and how about 'Take It Back'? That's possibly the closest thing to a love song Pink Floyd ever did...

Gotta say...love songs the way people think of love songs? Do the Floyd even have 11 of those? I can't regard loving money, wishing a lost friend was around or what-not as a "love song". lol. One of many things I dug about the Floyd was a break from fucking love songs. Truth is...well, to me anyway, is that the majority of love songs are fanciful, far-fetched, and unrealistic. I will love you forever...hell, not even attainable. Cynical? Maybe. Realistic? Maybe. A personal opinion. Absolutely.

Honestly for as big of a band as Pink Floyd became, it shocks me that they don't have more love songs. I'm just gonna put down some songs I consider to be about love in no particular order now (except for the first one)
1. Pigs on the Wing 1 and 2
This is one of my personal favorite floyd tunes and seriously an amazing love song(s).
2. Julia Dream
Bro how has no one talked about this one,"Queen of all my dreaaaaaams". Clearly a love song
3. Don't leave me now
This is dreary asf, is about a breakup obviously.
4. Stay
Don't even have to explain, but I just wanna take this time to simp for Rick.
5. Take it back
This is the most obvious love song of theirs
6. Summer 68'
About summer love and hookups that Rick Wright wishes were more than just that. Seriously great song from Rick.
7. Wot's...uh the deal?
I mean, this mentions romance many times, but a pretty awesome song that's criminally underrated (top 10 best for sure)
8. If
Such a soft song about longing to be someone else. But also to be good enough to be with someone. Atleast that my take.
9.Bike
Literally like the only Syd song about love... Or atleast partially about love lol
10. Biding my time
Holy shit this is a rare song.
11. Green is the colour
I mean, obviously... Do i have to explain? If you don't think so, the movie scene when this is played is two people literally going at it.
12. The nile song
Hard rock song about following the girl they love
Songs that are partly about love:
Echoes: Mentions it time and time, but the song is about human evolution and the human experience.
The narrow way: Idk but I always thought this was about a lover of some kind "If you wanna stay for a little bit"
A pillow of winds: It's about sleep but also falling asleep with your love by your side
San tropez: mentions coming home to someone you love
Hey you: "Hey you out there on your own sitting naked by the phone would you touch me" "Open your heart im coming home"
Young lust: It's not rly about love, but more so about making love and ig hooking up with random people lol
The final cut: Has some parts suggesting he's sad and lonely about someone leaving him alone

IG thats it, but lmk if i'm wrong. Also if you wanna watch me do an hour long vid ranking the Floyd albums watch this

"Take It Back" is about man-made climate change.

"Coming Back to Life", however, is absolutely a love song, written entirely by Gilmour and dedicated to Polly.

A number of Pink Floyd songs mention love, but the songs are not about it or that other person. "Pigs on the Wing" is, according to Roger anyway, but it's one of his songs that is so specific to him that if you identify with it, you should probably seek help.

"Julia Dream" and "Green is the Colour"...sure, why not.

Many tracks on Barrett's solo albums are love songs, including but not limited to:

"Here I Go"

"Late Night"

"Waving My Arms in the Air/I Never Lied to You"

"Wined and Dined"

"Dolly Rocker"

"Golden Hair" (James Joyce)

From Gilmour and Wright's solo albums:

"So Far Away"

"Against the Odds"

"Blue Room in Venice"

"Along the Shoreline"

"Smile"

"Where We Start"

"The Girl in the Yellow Dress"

I don't think incidental music can be considered a "love song," even when Roger is faking an orgasm in the background.

I think Syd Barrett wins with this one, can't remember if its wrote by Nick Mason or Richard Wright.
