Peter Harold wrote:I wonder if the re-recording of Mr Richard Wrights missing piano parts on "Shine on you crazy Diamond" for the SACD-version was the last thing he ever recorded for Pink Floyd?

Shine on,

Thanks for that video Peter. Well, I suppose it was the last thing Rick ever recorded for Pink Floyd. :(

Rick's best moment... so many that it's hard to count.

As a singer songwriter (either alone or with other Floyd members/collaborators), these songs stand out:

Paintbox
Remember a Day
Summer '68
Echoes
Burning Bridges
Time
Us and Them
Against the Odds
Wearing the Inside Out (I really prefer the live versions with Dave)
Far From the Harbour Wall
Breakthrough (best again live with Dave)
Reaching For the Rail (although he didn't sing it)

Other great compositional moments:

Sisyphus
Breathe (the bridges)
Great Gig in the Sky (of course!)
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (multiple parts, including of course Part 9)
Marooned
Keep Talking
It's What We Do
Autumn '68

Other great moments either as a player or singer:

Arnold Layne (that snake-charmer organ)
Astronomy Domine (both the vocals and playing)
Interstellar Overdrive (some of his most unhinged playing)
Set the Controls (more spooky organ)
Matilda Mother (one of his best vocals)
Any Colour You Like (some of his best synth playing)
Welcome to the Machine (more great synth leads)
Dogs (the spooky synth solos and electric piano)
Sheep (he probably should have gotten a writer's credit for that intro!)
Hey You (that electric piano)
Run Like Hell (synth solo!)
One Slip (the organ playing on the new remix version)
On an Island (lovely Hammond playing)
The Blue (great vocal duet with Dave)
Comfortably Numb (his lead vocals on the live Dave version)
