Post by Neil »

Rolling Stone reports Pete Townshend is due to release a DVD of one of his 80's tours, which includes the supergroup he formed with DG called Deep End:

Will be interesting to see that methinks.

Oh right! Yeah, looking at the date on the article, it says August 3, 2016... it came up on Google though as 'recent news'...

Thanks Google...

What do you think of it?

^^^
It's OK, pleasant enough audio renditions of Who classics and solo items, the DVD has some good video and close-up of guitar picking etc. On the down-side the video is a TV production with lots of long shots and crowd shots. If you expect super high-resolution or Blu-ray quality you will be disappointed as the video is like watching an old VHS video, if you expect super sharp audio you will be disappointed as the microphone placement is a bit odd.

Yeah it's a Rockpalast gig so no surprise the quality isn't great.

Still might grab it, always love seeing David playing with different people.
