I was disappointed on first listen that there were some noticable changes between the original VHS release and the DVD...notably vocal differences in Brick 2 and Don't Leave Me Now.

But...considering that there was much...*ahem*..."post-production" involved in the original VHS release, I can't really blame Roger too much for trying to make it as close to his vision as he could.

But, it felt a little like watching Greedo shoot first, if you know what I mean.

Seeing it as a kid, I always liked it. I only found its (many) flaws when I finally compared it to the original album and the movie. I still kind of like it, although it is quite different (and much cheesier) than the album. It gives some sort of breath of fresh air to the same old songs, even if mostly in a wrong direction. For one, the version of "Don't Leave Me Now" is superb, IMHO.
