If you want to add something to a discussion in a particular topic the you need to click on the post reply button at the top of the posts table. You then type your post and press submit. It is then added! Simple.

Another method is to click on the "quote" button at the top of somebody elses post. Then that persons post is quoted as part of your message. You can delete parts of the quote to get things that are just relevant to your reply.

Go to the forum home page, choose a forum and then choose a topic. I am going to choose the "New Members Say Hello" forum and the topic will be "say hello new members". We are now presented with the page below.

1 - If you click on the button labelled 1 above, you will start a new topic to be listed in the forum you are currently in. You will have to choose a topic title and post the first message.

2 - Clicking post reply button labelled 2 above will take you to a page where you add your message and then you press the submit button to have it added. Your message will be added to the topic you are browsing.

3 - If you click the quote button labelled 3 above, the message that you are quoting (eaqch message has it's own quote button) will be added to your reply. If you are responding to a particular post, this is a good idea. Delete the parts of the quote that are not relevent to your post. Don't quote a load of text and then add a few words of your own. Just click on post reply (2) to add a reply instead.
