Syd Barrett Property Auction In November 2006

It has been reported by Yahoo Music that Cheffins Auctioneers of Cambridgeshire will be selling some of the late Roger Keith (Syd) Barrett's property in an auction. The auction will take place on 29th and 30th November 2006 in Cambridge, England.

Amongst the items set to go under the hammer are pieces of artwork from the Pink Floyd founder, some signed, which have never been seen before.

Also up for sale are his bikes, which were hand painted by the former star, who lived out much of the last 30 years of his life as a recluse.

NPF Tribute Shows (UK)

::Additional Warm-Up Performances::

In addition to the tribute shows a second date has been added in Brighton on September 24th where participants in the NPF concerts will be performing their own music at The Pressure Point, Richmond Place, Brighton. Entry is a mere £3. Doors open 7.30pm

And if that's not enough, three warm up shows for the NPF tribute marathons have been lined up around the country!:

• September 8th: Us Not Them - The Rhoda McGaw Theatre, Woking 7.30pm
• September 16th: The Amber Herd - The Old Angel, Nottingham 8pm
• September 21st: Swedish Whistler - The Cella, Brighton 8pm

:: Syd Barrett Tribute Video ::

It is our intention to put together a 5 minute video tribute to Syd Barrett to be shown at the concerts. The video will take the form of a collage set to a medley of Syd's songs that appear on the NPF tribute CDs.
