Syd Barrett Auction - Syd Barrett's Will left behind GBP £1.25M (discuss/info) and this will probably increase once the auction house Cheffins of Cambridge have auctioned off some items of Barrett's! One of the items is believed to be the final surviving painting Barrett did. You can view a high resolution image and read more on this page.

David Gilmour On An Island Re-Release - As you probably know, David Gilmour's On An Island album is being re-released by EMI in UK/Europe and SonyBMG in the USA. The re-release will be packaged with a bonus DVD. The UK and USA versions of the DVD will be different as will the packaging. [More Info]

UK Music Hall of Fame - Channel 4 in the UK will broadcast the UK Music Hall of Fame tomorrow (16 Nov 2006) at 9PM GMT. VH1 in America will broadcast on 25th Nov 2006 also at 9pm. Amongst other things, David Gilmour will be inducting Brian Wilson into the UKMHOF. Brian will also be performing live. [More info].

As you know, David's On An Island is re-released on 27th/28th November so, to recognise that event, I have an American version of the CD/DVD package to give away to one lucky winner!
