No More Bootleg Trading/Downloads on NPF

No More Bootleg Trading/Downloads on NPFAs per a letter from David Gilmour's management (without the knowledge of David or the band), NPF will no longer offer the facility for site visitors to:

1) download bootleg recordings direct from the NPF website servers or post links on the forum to other sites with such content,

2) download bootlegs via the torrent tracker facility formerly located at http://www.thepinkfloyd.co.uk

3) nor to offer a community area on the forum for people to trade between each other.

In particular the letter said "[our] office regularly checks your site and we're always distressed by the number of bootlegs that are being offered on it.

As you say you are a true fan then I'd like to politely and formally ask you to remove the offers for bootlegs on your site re Pink Floyd and David Gilmour".

It is unfortunate for the community that this has been requested as it is likely to increase the number of idiots selling the recordings on eBay and the like. However, it would be a shame for the whole NPF website to be taken down and be left with nothing hence, with immediate effect, bootlegs and NPF no longer mix! :-(
