Pink Floyd’s music is to feature in an episode of US crime drama Cold Case (Season 7, Episode 17: “Flashover”) on Sunday 21st March 2010.  It will be broadcast at 10pm EST (Eastern Standard Time) on the CBS Network in the United States of America and will feature extracts of seven songs:

  1. Comfortably Numb,
  2. Hey You,
  3. Mother,
  4. Marooned,
  5. Wish You Were Here,
  6. Time and
  7. The Thin Ice

In this episode, the team searches for Vera when he goes missing, and they reinvestigate a 2006 arson-homicide case that Vera obsessed over in recent weeks.

US TV crime series Cold Case occasionally created themed episodes featuring songs from one artist.  Now in its seventh series, Cold Case revolves around a fictionalised Philadelphia police department that specialises in investigating “cold” or inactive cases.

Each episode opens with a flashback scene that establishes the year in which the crime took place, and makes use of era-appropriate music.  Other artists who have been accorded single-artist only episodes include Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Frank Sinatra and The Doors.
