What information is collected?
During your use of this site information may be collected about you which may included information about your computer, what pages you view, your name and email address etc. The information can be split into two sections:
- General information from browsing site
- Newsletter information
1. General information
When you browse this website information is collected about you and your computer system which is not traceable back to you. I use Hitbox.com to provide statistics about what pages people are viewing, what web browser
people are using and other such information. None of the information collected from your use of this website is traceable back to you and is just an aggregated collection of information relating to visitors to the site.
2. Newsletter information
If you decide to subscribe to the site newsletter then you will provide your email address. This information will be kept in the strictest confidence and will not be shared in any way with a third party. The information
is only accessible by me and is held at www.messagebot.com and a backup copy in a password protected database on the NPF computer system.
Why collect information from you?
General information about your general browsing habits, what web browser you are using etc. is used to optimise the design of this website. Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator do not view pages in the
same way: they do not look the same with certain attributes so it is important to know this information to design the website to suite your needs better.
Obviously, your email address will be collected if you decide to submit it to be included on the mailing list database if you want the newsletter to be sent out to you. As aforementioned, this information is kept in
confidence and will not be shared with anybody in any circumstances.
