There is plenty news going on at the moment so here is a quick news roundup of all the things that are happening in once neat place! Normally, Roger Waters is getting involved in something and posting things on the internet, which is not always to everyone’s liking. Australian Pink Floyd at Liverpool Echo March 2012

Australian Pink Floyd at Liverpool Echo March 2012

I had the pleasure of watching the Australian Pink Floyd at The Liverpool Echo Arena on 2nd March 2012. As cover bands go, you can’t really get much better than this. From a visual perspective, the show is impressive with them having a large circular screen like Pink Floyd use onto which there are various projections and videos. They also use lasers which are always fun and, on this particular tour, they are using lights along the front of the stage as Pink Floyd did on their Division Bell tour. Have a look at this live video of Australian Pink Floyd and see for yourself and see the photo gallery at the bottom of this page! Looking good. From a sound perspective, they still have it! I saw them perform at Manchester’s MEN Arena a few years ago and they sounded brilliant there. I have to say, with several key...

David Gilmour Lends Weight to Wilfred Owen Musical Bullets & Daffodils

Liverpool icon and satirist John Gorman has written and directed the new touring version of Dean Johnson’s Wilfred Owen musical, Bullets And Daffodils. The ex-Scaffold and Tiswas frontman joins a long line of illustrious contributors such as actor Christopher Timothy and guitar legend David Gilmour. The Pink Floyd guitarist has granted permission for a solo recording to be used as part of the show’s score. Dean says, “Mr Gilmour wanted to do everything he could do to help and sanctioned the track There’s No Way Out Of Here gratis and waivering the licence and publishing fees, so it was in every sense a donation.” John Gorman has been on board since day one of this project. He has always been at the vanguard of cutting edge projects. Commenting on what drew him to the project, Mr Gorman said, “Wilfred Owen died a week before the end of the First World...
