Syd Barrett Solo Albums in Limited Edition LP Collection

Third Man Records, in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment, is set to release Syd Barrett’s solo albums – The Madcap Laughs, Barrett, and Opel – as the 57th installment of the Vault subscription series. Having been out of print individually for almost a decade, the albums are now available together on 180-gram vinyl. The release also includes a bonus 7-inch single by David Gilmour covering Barrett’s compositions “Dominoes” and “Dark Globe.” All albums and the single are housed in a custom slipcase featuring new exclusive artwork. The collection celebrates Barrett’s influence on the psychedelic and folk realms and his iconic leadership of Pink Floyd, with orders available until midnight CST on July 31st. Well, that was an amazing journey across the entire contents of the new Pink Floyd Later Years box set! I have digested audio CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray, not to mention all kinds of memorabilia goodies and just being in general awe of the box and its presentation in general. This article is my general reaction to what I have witnessed, random information and, if you can generate the funds to make the purchase, then I recommend getting hold of this magnificent box set. The much anticipated Pink Floyd The Later Years box set will be delayed a couple of weeks due to “production and logistics delays”. The mammoth 18 disc box set was supposed to be released on 26th November but will not be available until 13th December 2019. However, the highlights 2LP/1CD package & digital equivalent is out on 29 November 2019.
