Roger Waters and Other Big Names at Huge Festival in 2016

Roger Waters will be performing at Coachella organised festival in October 2016 as part of an amazing line up of huge bands and artists in what is set to be a monumental three nights of concerts. Other artists performing at the amazing festival are The Who, Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. This could be one of the last times bands from this era get together and play a festival so is an historical moment in the history of classic rock. It will take place in the Colorado Desert at Empire Polo Club in Coachella Valley, Indio, California over three nights covering 7th October to 9th October 2016. David Gilmour Teenage Cancer Trust Charity Concert 2016

David Gilmour will perform a concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 24th April 2016 in aid of British charity Teenage Cancer Trust. Tickets went on sale on Friday and you can get some from Ticketmaster UK. The concert sits between the North American tour and the European tour of 2016. David Gilmour is set to play more concerts in the UK next year in September 2016 in support of his new album Rattle That Lock. David was interviewed on BBC radio today talking about his new album Rattle That Lock when he made the announcement on the Steve Wright in the Afternoon show. Excitement excitement in the air, not just about the festive season being around the corner but also that David Gilmour has just announced another concert to add to the other’s on his much anticipated North American Tour. This is the 21st official concert date that has been announced on the tour which plays Europe in 2015 and North America in 2016. Roger Waters Concert in 2015 with Nashville Symphony Orchestra

Roger Waters will join the Nashville Symphony Orchestra for a performance of Ca Ira. This will take place on 29th January 2015 at Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee where Roger Waters will be performing a narrative whilst the Orchestra bring the three acts to life. Ca Ira is Roger Waters’ opera which was released back in 2005 and features some wonderful orchestral arrangements and lots of singing. One of those singers is the now famous pop star Pixie Lott. Here is a video of Roger Waters talking us through Ca Ira and highlighting that this is a cut down version lasting an hour and a half giving people time to go to the bar! Cheer up Roger.
