The First International European Pop Festival took place at the Piper Club in Rome, Italy on May 6th, 1968. Pink Floyd performed at this festival, and their setlist included:

  • Astronomy Domine
  • Interview with Roger Waters
  • Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
  • Interstellar Overdrive

This performance is notable for its inclusion in various unofficial releases and recordings. The festival itself was part of a larger event that took place between May 4th and May 7th, 1968. I wish I had attended Pink Floyd First International European Pop Festival.

This is the first concert programme where Syd Barrett had left the band and was replaced by David Gilmour, his childhood friend.
