- Special Effects: The concerts included custom-designed airships, elaborate lighting, and stunning visual effects.
- Setlist: Pink Floyd performed a mix of classics and newer tracks, including The Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety on select nights.
- London Residency: The band played 15 nights at Earls Court Exhibition Hall, though the opening night on October 12 had to be rescheduled due to a seating stand collapse.
- Guest Appearance: On October 28, author Douglas Adams joined the band on stage to play guitar during Brain Damage as a birthday gift.
- Sponsorship: Volkswagen sponsored the European leg, releasing a Golf Pink Floyd Edition with special decals and a premium stereo.
The tour was a massive success, playing to over 5 million people across 68 cities, with an average audience of 45,000 per show. It was also one of the highest-grossing tours in rock history, generating over £150 million worldwide.
