The BBC are to air a new series called “Classic Albums” on BBC2 at 12:40am starting Sunday 4th May 2003. One of the classic albums is, of course, a Pink Floyd one! The 50 minute program will concern the 30th Anniversary release of the Dark Side of the Moon. It will probably be a good idea to set the video as it is on a bit late!! Source: BBC
The legendary fund raising gig that Roger Waters did in Berlin 1990 is finally going to be released on DVD on 28th April 2003 region 2 (UK & Europe) and worldwide release is expected a week later. Special features include a Gerald Scarfe animation, documentary about the show and the events leading up to the show and unseen footage from the broadcast performance. Source: Brain Damage
It has been comfirmed that Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii will be released on DVD with lots of extra footage! According to Mark Fenwick (Roger Waters manager) and quoted from the Brain Damage website, “Live At Pompeii contains the concert in its entirety and a much longer version which includes the concert, footage of the recording of “Dark Side Of The Moon” in the studio, and new material of the band talking in the studio....
