Roger Waters has given a preview of his new song ‘The Bar’ in a benefit event for Julian Assange. Julian Assange was working for the NSA spy agency in Hawaii and copied a lot of confidential information and shared it publicly. He went into excile for a long time on the run from the Americans, and Roger is supporting him. This is not a political blog so we won’t be getting into the detail of all that, but we will be sharing the video below for you to have a listen instead. Guy Pratt has been the studio and live bass guitar player for Pink Floyd since Roger Waters left the band. He has also worked with all kinds of people over his 40 years career. He is also a funny man doing his My Bass and Other Animals comedy tour which also had a book. Guy has used Ashdown guitar amplifiers over the years and his place in rock and roll history has been firmly cemented in place with a new custom built bass amp, the Interstellar-600. Roger Waters has married Kamilah Chavis having met her at Coachella music festival. Roger Waters spouse looks happy and Roger very happy indeed. Roger’s age was 78 when he married her, and Kamilah Chavis was 43 years old. Roger Waters announced on Facebook that he has got married saying, “I’m so happy, finally a keeper”. Pink Floyd founding member Syd Barrett’s 12 string guitar, which he discussed in his 1971 Rolling Stone interview, is up for auction by Cheffins.
