I had the pleasure of watching the Australian Pink Floyd at The Liverpool Echo Arena on 2nd March 2012. As cover bands go, you can’t really get much better than this.

From a visual perspective, the show is impressive with them having a large circular screen like Pink Floyd use onto which there are various projections and videos. They also use lasers which are always fun and, on this particular tour, they are using lights along the front of the stage as Pink Floyd did on their Division Bell tour. Have a look at this live video of Australian Pink Floyd and see for yourself and see the photo gallery at the bottom of this page! Looking good.

From a sound perspective, they still have it! I saw them perform at Manchester’s MEN Arena a few years ago and they sounded brilliant there. I have to say, with several key members leaving the Aussie Floyd since then to form Brit Floyd, I was a little cautious about whether or not the Aussie Floyd would sound as good anymore. I can confirm they sounded great on the whole and was an enjoyable experience. As cover bands go, you can’t get much better than these guys.

The Australian Pink Floyd have just started their extensive world tour and UK tickets are available as below. Get involved!
