Dark Side of the Moon Redux is a reimagined version of the iconic 1973 album by Pink Floyd, created by Roger Waters to mark its 50th anniversary. Released on October 6, 2023, this album features a fresh take on the original tracks, with a focus on spoken-word sections and a more reflective tone.
Waters collaborated with musicians like Gus Seyffert, Joey Waronker, and Jonathan Wilson, among others, to bring this project to life. Unlike the original, Redux does not include guitar solos, aiming instead to highlight the album’s lyrical and conceptual depth. Waters intended this version as a tribute and a way to readdress the political messages of the original album.
The album received mixed reviews, with some praising its artistic approach and others criticising its slower pace. Notably, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason supported the project, calling it an “interesting add-on” to the original. Nick Mason said, “He actually sent me a copy of what he was working on and I write to him and said, ‘Annoyingly, it’s absolutely brilliant!’ It was and is. It’s not anything that would be a spoiler for the original at all, it’s an interesting add-on to the thing.”

- A hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity, limited to 3000 copies.
- The first 700 orders include a signed print by Roger Waters, exclusive to the official store.

The set includes four 10-inch vinyls from the original Redux album, each with etched artwork on the B-side, a stunning 40-page commemorative book with photographs capturing the album’s creation and performances, and a hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity (limited to 3,000 copies, mine is 2,401). Plus, the first 700 orders offer an exclusive signed print by Roger Waters, making this a truly remarkable collector’s item (if I hadn’t have opened it!).
