David Gilmour Gig in April
Sir David Gilmour is to play as a special guest at a Jools Holland fundraising event at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 1st April 2004 at 7.30pm. Before you think it, yes, I have conformed with the RAH that the gig is not a hoax! LOL Click here to buy tickets.
The hugely popular Jools Holland returns as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust week with his ‘Rhythm and Blues Orchestra’ to thrill the Royal Albert Hall audience with their combination of jazz, blues, boogie woogie and honky tonk.
His guests in this very special charity concert will include:
Sam Brown, Ruby Turner, Mica Paris, David Gilmour, Marc Almond and Solomon Burke.
From his beginnings as the founder member of the group Squeeze, Jools has gone on to a successful solo recording and television career and is now the most popular pianist and bandleader in the country. His BBC2 television show ‘Later..’ features performers from across all musical genres and his collaborations on the show highlight his wide-ranging talent as a musician.
The excellent 14-piece ‘Rhythm and Blues Orchestra’ who play with Jools include Gilson Lavis on drums.
