David Gilmour Luck and Strange Reviews have been getting written following the listening party for the media in London on the 20th August. I will do a David Gilmour new album review once I have listened to the full thing – sadly I was not invited to the listening party so only have the first 3 singles to go on. I have enjoyed it so far.

MOJO magazine gave the new album 4 of their stars saying “certainly the best solo album of his career.” That is quite an endorsement. The writeup on the album in the magazine makes me want to listen to the album so the good people at MOJO certainly seem happy with it. Read on page 80/81.

Uncut Magazine have rated David Gilmour’s new album 9/10 saying it is “as affecting as anything in Gilmour’s canon” which, again, is another big tick for the album. The October edition has a large 12 page feature on David.

Record Collector, like MOJO, gave it 4 stars and says the album is “full of songs worth revisiting” which is brimming with positivity.

Meta Critic is giving the album a score of 86 in their rating algorithms too.

Prog Magazine issue 152 has a feature but my copy hasn’t arrived so cannot say much else about it at this stage!
