David Gilmour Luck and Strange Tour Rehearsal Video & Photos

Fans were in for a treat today with the broadcast of the David Gilmour Luck and Strange Tour Rehearsal Video. David and the band performed four songs in the live stream which started at 5pm GMT. The songs included Between Two Points with Romany Gilmour playing harp and taking on the lead vocal. She did a great job. Up next was Pink Floyd’s Breathe (Reprise) from Dark Side of the Moon followed by Time. David said a little while ago that he wouldn’t play the big hits from the 1970s so its great he changed his mind and also performed a couple for fans today. The band finished with new song Dark and Velvet Nights with David playing on his nice new Gibson ES-335 guitar.

The band are David Gilmour on Guitar and lead vocals, Guy Pratt on bass, Greg Phillinganes on keyboards, Rob Gentry on keyboards, Adam Betts on drums, Ben Worsley on guitar, Louise Marshall backing singer, the Webb Sisters providing backing vocals, and finally Romany Gilmour on lead vocals, harmonies and the harp. The band of course sound amazing, thank you for all your hard work if any of you are reading this!

In a recent interview, Daivid spoke about his new Gibson ES-335 saying, “This is very different to what I’m used to. I don’t know why I didn’t discover one of these a long time ago”. He went on to say, “Every time you play a nice guitar you’re not used to, it gives you something. Sometimes it just gives you a song. This one is a real beauty.”
