A big question on many people’s lips is will David Gilmour Tour 2025? There are a few reasons why I think he will, hear me out.
Firstly, he has already said he wants to get to work on his next album as soon as possible after releasing Luck and Strange therefore the likeliness of a tour in 2025 seems inevitable. Secondly, his last tour for Rattle That Lock crossed over two years therefore it is entirely possible he may find the tour in 2024 goes incredibly well and wants to nail on a few more dates – this seems to be David’s train of thought judging by the comment in his tour book (picture below). And thirdly, it is what he does so he must want to get out and play some smaller venues and do some more intimate stuff compared to the old Pink Floyd days!
Where would David Gilmour tour in 2025?
The current tour has him playing Italy, England, LA and New York. Therefore if he added more dates, I would hope he visited South America which has a huge Pink Floyd fan base. Perhaps also Canada and The Netherlands too. Given his support for Ukraine too, perhaps he would play close to there as a benefit concert. Who knows, maybe the David Gilmour Tour 2025 could bring him to unexpected places.
What songs would he play on another tour?
David has a vast catalogue of amazing solo and Pink Floyd songs to choose from. He is playing much more for himself and his family and his enjoyment these days rather than taking a massive hit-playing machine out on the road. His song selection is likely to feature more of the songs from Pink Floyd he wrote—the later years stuff across Division Bell and Momentary Lapse of Reason, perfect for the David Gilmour Tour in 2025.
