David Gilmour Tour 2024 now has a new concert date announced. Due to overwhelming demand, a fourth date has been added in Los Angeles at the yet to be opened Intuit Dome. The new concert takes place on Friday 25th October 2024 and is then followed by the previously announced three nights at Hollywood Bowl.

The pre-sale will launch Wednesday, June 12th, 10am local. First you need to sign up at David Gilmour’s official site to get a special code that lets you enter the pre-sales. Then head over to the ticket website to get your tickets on the day. For now, get first access to the presales then get access via Ticketmaster USA on Wednesday.

David Gilmour Tour 2024 Overview

David Gilmour, Pink Floyd guitarist and singer, is embarking on a highly anticipated tour in 2024. This tour is in support of his new album, Luck and Strange, which is set to be released on September 6th. This album marks Gilmour’s first release of new material in nine years.

The album was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and was produced by David and Charlie Andrew, best known for his work with alt-J and Marika Hackman. The majority of the album’s lyrics have been composed by Polly Samson, Gilmour’s co-writer and collaborator for the past thirty years. The album features eight new tracks along with a beautiful reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers’ ‘Between Two Points’.

The tour kicks off in Rome, Italy, at the Circus Massimo for an impressive run of 6 shows. Its then over to the UK for another 6 shows this time at the impressive Royal Albert Hall in London. A beautiful building and with amazing sound thanks in part to the iconic reflectors in the roof space to bounce the sound back down on the audience below, rather than let it disappear into the ceiling. The tour then hops the pond over to Los Angeles with one night at the brand new Intuit Dome, then three nights at Hollywood Bowl. The show then concludes with 5 night at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Gilmour’s concerts are renowned for their immersive experience and this tour promises to be no different. Fans can expect a mix of new material from ‘Luck and Strange’ as well as classic Pink Floyd hits that David wrote.

One of the unique aspects of the new album is the involvement of Gilmour’s family. Some contributions emerged from the live streams that Gilmour and family performed to a global audience during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021; Romany Gilmour, David’s daughter, sings, plays the harp and appears on lead vocals on ‘Between Two Points’.
