A "Greatest Solo Album" magazine polling link

Post by Jimi Dean Barrett »

Tried posting it in the Solo Albums subforum. But couldn't obviously.
No idea how many votes you can tick as one. (Presumably it turns out you can't vote for anymore)
Dave and Roger are shortlisted twice (On An Island, Rattle That Lock with Amused To Death and Is This The Life We Really Want?) but no Syd, Rick or Nick.
Option to complete own choice available as well.
Happy voting! Happy VPNing! And results ages away yet.

Went with

Rattle That Lock
Pacific Ocean Blue
All Things Must Pass
Pearl
New York
Tug of War
Exposure
Is This The Life We Really Want?

That's right, sod it add Amused To Death and On An Island. And Peter Hammil Phil Collins Phil Lynott and John Lennon.

EDIT: Those aren't my rankings! Those were just as ordered in the Poll.

And I wrote in John Kasich, even though he'd already shit the bed.

I'd probably go for "All Things Must Pass". It's poor how they got the name of David Crosby's album wrong. Anyway - his solo effort is fantastic if you haven't already heard it.

I'm a massive fan of Pacific Ocean Blue. Dennis Wilson was the Beach Boys secret weapon and had his life played out a different way, we would have seen some amazing stuff.

As for solo Floyd outings, my opinion is they all have their own peculiar flaws (and that's why I like them), however I'd go for Amused to Death & Barrett.
