He's a fraud, a bit like how he described AMLOR Floyd a pretty fair forgery

He's been miming on stage since the early00's

I remember a MEN show in manc when he wasn't even at the mike to sing when the vocals started and he was 10 foot away

Don't even know why he has a bass strapped over him for the wall shows as the actual bass player is behind him playing

misses his cue

He was only partly playing bass on One Of These Day's on his last tour i guess waving your arms around is more important

classic proof of him lip syncing

He was doing the classic approach with two bass players during OotD, just like it is on the album. Both are playing their own track. Same during Pigs 3DO, there was actually a very nice shot in the Us & Them movie where Roger and Gus Seyffert played bass side by side, but completely different notes.

If you want to hear Roger not lip-syncing, check out the 121212 benefit concert. I just rediscovered some recordings from that on some cassette tapes I recorded off the radio. He sounds pretty much live on those.

I'm not sure why everyone critiques Roger for lip syncing, when David lyi synced many of Syd-Floyd songs already in the 1968??

'The interesting thing is, you see the clip in the film [broadcast at the awards], and we’re playing ‘Astronomy Domine’, and David is, actually he’s not singing, he’s miming to Syd’s version'.

TV appearances and promo clips are something entirely different from an actual live performance. You expect the latter to be all live, created in the moment, not the former. :?

It's well known that a lot of TV shows were playback. With Syd still in the band, the whole band was miming. Nick had to act as if he was 'playing' while not making any noise. [-D-]

You're right of course.

Did Dave lip synced any of the Barrett's songs live at the time? I don't believe it.
