Another Brick pt 2 extended promo version?
I saw a track list for a promo called Defacing The Wall and it had a extended version of ABITW 2 clocking in at around 5 and a half minutes. I also read there's at least 2 versions made for radio that has all three parts edited together. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm not familiar with a stitched mix of the three parts ... if a "radio" one as described was formal then it would have made sense to add to the Immersion Box. The fact the material is called 'Defacing The Wall' suggests it is not Pink Floyd.
There is a 5m21s 'Radio Remix' on the ABITW2 single by DJ Rad that looks like the real thing but close inspection reveals it is a cover band.

Thanks for the info. That cover band version may be the one on the Defacing disc.

I have a version simply called "Another Brick in the Wall", lasting 09:08. It was done and posted online by someone called DreamTime, years ago. It essentially stitches together all three album parts into one song, so you end up with a complete studio version. I am not sure what software the person used, but it was done quite well, it (more or less) works. A professional version using actual studio tapes would be a fantastic release.
He also did a stitched together studio version of SOYCD using the album parts, simply called "Shine On", and clocking at 26:00, I have that as well. Professional version of that one using actual studio tapes would be a dream come true.
By the way, Waters plays exactly this live on his latest tour - you get the whole "Another Brick in the Wall" song in one go, parts 1,2,3, it goes on for 9+ minutes.

This one should be heard as well, a fantastic masturbatory solo from David Gilmour, mixing studio and live versions to a whooping 13 minutes of goodness. Also DreamTime.

Interesting. This radio mix is very similar to what Waters is doing live on his ongoing tour, although the live version is longer because there is more instrumental improvisation on stage.
Besides "Shine On" and "Another Brick in the Wall" there is another studio track that I always wanted to hear stitched together in this fashion. That is complete "Breathe", by putting together "Breathe-Any Colour You Like-Breathe (Reprise)" (ACYL is also known as "Breathe (Second Reprise)" in the album's tablature book; it would work great as a middle instrumental part). Complete studio "Breathe" would clock at 7:12, and a live version of that could be patched up to twice that length from the concert materials Pink Floyd released over the years.
Now that I think of it, Pink Floyd should've done this properly, and released studio versions of complete "Breathe", "Shine On 1-9" and "Another Brick in the Wall" 1-3 for the three album Immersion sets (perhaps as a download bonus, if nothing else).

A Roger Waters-promo-CD features an extended ABITW II version:

Indeed, I have a couple of variants of the Roger Waters solo (with his 'Berlin' band) version but it's not Pink Floyd so I did not include it in my post of 14 November 2018nonesuch wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 11:32 pm A Roger Waters-promo-CD features an extended ABITW II version:

As far as I know there never had been an extended version of the tune available by Pink Floyd.twcc wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 6:41 amIndeed, I have a couple of variants of the Roger Waters solo (with his 'Berlin' band) version but it's not Pink Floyd so I did not include it in my post of 14 November 2018nonesuch wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 11:32 pm A Roger Waters-promo-CD features an extended ABITW II version:

Re: Another Brick pt 2 extended promo version?
Interesting. What are those talking people at the end taken from? Nothing from The Wall, right?
Personally, I'd prefer to have a segue from the first beats of "Happiest Days" into Part 2. It just seems like, since it's in the same key, it might work.
