For those of you who are yet to experience them, Pink Floyd's albums are now available digitally in Ultra HD quality, and some are also in immersive 360 Reality Audio. Hear the albums with all of the nuance and power of the original studio recordings...
You can hear them on TIDAL, Deezer and Amazon Music, now.
Any of you tried this 360 audio stuff?

This is where only having hearing in one ear doesn't help (with headphones anyway). However I'd love to hear how it sounds in a full 4 speaker cinema style audio set up. Like the idea of offering new aural experiences to people as technology evolves. Those that prefer the originals will always have them as a go to.

This is, finally, the victory of the streaming platform, on the audio front at least. If you use good quality headphones, it is the equivalent of directly listening to the master tapes in the studio setting. If you folks have impressions, do share them.

I'll ask a friend who has other streaming services to see if they can access at no extra cost.

Re: Pink Floyd 360 Reality Audio
I use Tidal and unfortunately it's asking me to upgrade from my "Premium" account to their top tier subscription called "Tidal Hi fi" in order to access the 360 content. It's double the cost, so I won't be doing this.
Not really a victory for streaming in my book. Maybe eventually they'll reduce the cost and then it can be deemed a victory.

I was hoping it'll be on Apple Music as well since the AirPods have spatial audio, but I doubt that'll happen. This seems exclusive to Sony tech like the time the DSotM 30th Anniversary album was released on SACD.
