Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii

Post by crofloyd »

I recently watched "Live at Pompeii" and I think it's very good. Specially "Echoes" and "A Saucerful of Secrets". And there are 2 questions:

1. There is a song called "Madmoiselle Knobs". Is it really "Seamus" or something else?

2. Except for "PULSE", "Is there anybody out there - The Wall live" and "Delicate sound of thunder" is there any other live recording that I can get? Loved it if it was from 1967-1973...

The only way you will probably get late 60's to early 70's PF concerts is if you get Imports and Bootlegs. Pink Floyd does not have much live things for sale

There's the live half of UMMAGUMMA, the recording is a bit thin in places , but the four tracks are all pretty good. The standout being IMHO a cracking version of "Astronomy Domine".

this is the only material from 72 to 77 on video;
Sports Arena, LA 4/2?/75 (17 min)
Angel Stadium, Anaheim 5/7/77 (15 min)
Stadthalle, Vienna 2/1/77 (20min)
DSoT Moon Film 1974 (35min)
Hollywood Bowl, LA 9/22/72 (21min)
but hopefully one day something more will get to the surface,
There are plenty good bootlegs from all periods, i personally like the following shows;yeeskull! (1973), Run rabbit run (1972) dark side of radio city (1973) The man and the journey (1969) to name a few.

Greetings; peter
