I was just reading excerpts from a Barrett biography at

and it got me to thinking that perhaps the scene in the movie of The Wall where Pink seems to be decomposing could be a reference to Syd's Brylcreem and Mandrax hair experiment. It's said that he looked like he was decomposing onstage.

That's an interesting point. You're probably right. It's certainly a well-known fact anyway, although whether he used Mandrax is a moot point. Apparently he definitely used Brylcreem, as he used it conventionally anyway... Hmm.
