Can someone explain to me what Facebook is all about.

Its a social networking site. You set up your "profile" with info about yourself if you like, add photos, videos etc. You can then "add friends", people that you know and want to keep in touch with. Find your old friends from school etc. You can communicate with them on their "wall". Also, you have a news feed page which shows what your "friends" have been doing with their profiles, adding photos, videos etc.

Your profile and stuff is only viewable by people you add as friends so can be quite private.

Basically, it is just a big gossip factory!!
