i've had a facebook page for a while now and don't really get the addiction thing (a forum like this is much more interesting..and addictive..to me).... i do peek in every day or so, but not for long. it's a great way to keep in touch with friends and family spread out all over the country (and beyond) and i've reconnected with a group of people from my past, which has been a lot of fun....still, i don't see myself spending much time there on a daily basis...
