I love this album, it's awesome, isn't it?
You're not wrong. It's been a revelation for me ... I'd forgotten how much I liked the sounds and feel of early 70s psych. In fact, I think I'll put it on now!

The Winton Kelly Trio with Wes Montgomery - Smokin' at the Half Note...Pat Metheny once called this "the absolute greatest jazz guitar album ever made"...and it is pretty smokin'.

"Le Fil" by Camille Daimas. IMHO a fascinating album. "Le Fil" means "The Thread", and refers to a single held note that lasts for the entire album. Many of the songs are pretty much A Capella. She's got a very interesting voice and makes music with real originality, rather than the army of clones that are out there. As an example, an English language song is called "Mars is No Fun" and is sung from the viewpoint of a woman who has become one of the first human settlers on Mars, but who decides that she doesn't like it, and wishes she was back on Earth living in Milton Keynes.

Thin Lizzy - Live At The BBC. This is the two disc one and not the boxset, although I'm still tempted to get that one too.

Jethro Tull - This Was (40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)...when I got into JT many years ago, I didn't like this album, so I hadn't listened to it for year, but I listened to it today and work and was pleasantly surprised to find myself quite enjoying it, so I bought it.

Born Too Loose: The Best Of Johnny Thunders

A nice overview of Thunders post-New York Dolls career, with the best cuts from a lot of hard-to-find one-off singles, EPs and cassettes Johnny did through the 80's.
