Everyone’s got their favourite great guitar solo, but what’s your favourite bad guitar solo?
Spike.com have compiled a list of seven of the most heinous crimes against your ears.
Here’s the list:
1 Fred Durst Live Guitar Solo
2 Misfits - We Are 138
3 Lenny Kravitz - American Woman
4 Lil Wayne - Leather So Soft
5 Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It
6 Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
7 Oasis - Champagne Supernova

Of course! That's even better than the shredding of Pink Floyd.

Any guitar solo Jimmy Page attempted live. With a special note to all those ghastly Stairway to Heaven solos he mangled in 1977.

Anything by SRV.You can't clone or re-own Jimi. It just wont do.
Carbon copies of Hendrix are not possible. If you can't come up with your own style then who needs you?

Nay, nay, nay. SRV was one fine guitarist (and soloist). To my mind, any solo by anyone, that involves imitation of a hack saw is in poor taste. This includes Gilmour's extended Comfortably Numb, and the sawing and squawking by Eddie Van Halen, and other '80ish era guitarists.

He handled No Quarter quite nicely in 73.
