It is sad he left. His music is more my father's music than mine but I really liked A boy named Sue (brilliant lyrics) and his version of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails. By the way what Trent Reznor did on Tori Amos' Past the mission reminds me of what David Gilmour did on some of Kate Bush's songs. (And so we have a connection between the Man in Black and the Lads in Pink.)

heard this for the first time opening a tribute edition of Captain America's show on Virgin radio - the Sunday after his death.
He ended the show (after playing Hurt) by reading this quote from Theodore Roosevelt -

and saying "Johnny Cash was the man in the arena, untill the man came arround" and just as I thought that was the end and was going to cut to the news - it went straight into that song...
