A revival of this thread seems in order. Sadly, news began to circulate yesterday that Nash the Slash has died at the age of 66. I knew he'd retired, but I'll miss the guy. Rest in peace, Nash.

I was so sad to read about this. So many great memories I have associated with Nash and his music. In fact, it was FM's Black Noise and Nash the Slash's Bedside Companion EP that was the first music I listened to as a teenager that inspired me to look beyond the Top 40 for what I liked. RIP Nash.

Well, it looks like FM finally have a new album coming out, after hearing rumours of it for years! No Martin Deller through, just Hawkins and a whole new crew, including two violinists. I didn't see any credit for vocals, so it may be all instrumental. Have to wait and see.
