Test your musical knowledge

Post by spirit in the sky »

Any good at music quizzes? Good page of quizzes here, from Zeppelin, Classic Rock, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Bowie, Dylan, Queen, Springsteen, Janis Joplin and loads of others.

See how many you can score out of 20: http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/pages/thi ... music_quiz

So... Did Clare Torry see Donovan or Chuck Berry in the end? Or she just stayed home and used it as an excuse? I think the information is vital for Pink Floyd history and we deserve to know the real truth.

Yeah it's pretty hard, it's almost questions like « What did Roger Waters ate for breakfast before Live 8 performance?» or « What was the microphone brand on which David Gilmour recorded Sorrow? »

Anyway too hard for me (got 75% for Floyd) maybe some experts are able to have a decent score.

I didn't take the easy PF path, I took on David Bowie and scored 60%.

I scored 60% on Led Zep, 55% on The Beatles and 60% on Queen. Not really a die hard fan of either though.

Here's another great site to compete against real-life listeners:
http://en.massivemusicquiz.com/

You listen to a 30-second sample and during it have to guess the title and/or the artist, and you score or lose points. Recently there have even been battles and I think some more are scheduled :) If you see a player called ImGonnaDJ, that'll be yours truly.
