Not long ago we lost Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor and now I read that Lemmy has gone after a short illness with cancer.

Re: RIP Ian Fraser 'Lemmy' Kilmister
Saw this just before I went to bed last night. Completely shocked.
For some silly reason, I always imagined this guy was never going to die. He was just too large a character for that.
One thing is for sure, Heaven will be a very loud place from now on.

You know...
I watched the guy's interview with Sami Jarroush (Rock It Out! Blog and Consequence Of Sound), and I could tell Lemmy was tired. I think it was post-gig, so that explains tiredness. But a small bit of fear was still sewn. "Then again", I thought, "this guy is on par with Ozzy Osbourne when it comes to partying like an animal." These kinds of people give us the impression they are indestructible. They are not...
But their legacy is. We are now to carry it on.
Thank you, mister Willis; Ian Kilmister; Lemmy.

Re: RIP Ian Fraser 'Lemmy' Kilmister
RIP Lemmy. He certainly lived life to the full. I smiled when I read this earlier. I think, on balance, that this is how I'd like to go out. I'll need to take up smoking, drugs and quaffing vast quantities of Jack Daniels though
There were some modest lifestyle changes: Lemmy cut back from his more than two packs of cigarettes a day to one pack a week. And after at least four decades of a half-gallon of Jack Daniels every day, he switched to vodka and orange juice and just four or five drinks a day. He still enjoyed his daily speed
