Any love for Gary Moore's 1980s work
His hard rock/heavy metal albums all kicked serious booty. Especially Corridors of Power. Victims of the Future rocked also but prefer those tracks on We Want Moore. Bought the remasters and he would have mopped the floor with Eddie Van Halen. Once he went bluesy, he went soft though some may argue.

I for one always liked his 1980s works more than anything else he did solo. Honestly, I can't point out my favorite album of his from that era, just too many great songs. 'Dirty Fingers', 'Run For Cover' and 'Wild Frontier' were also very good albums. Whether they admit it or not, Moore's guitar playing influenced generations of heavy metal guitarists.

He felt very uncomfortable being lumped in with the various 'Hair Metal' and 'Glam Metal' bands who were about in that decade. When he returned to the Blues he felt that was the right place for him to be, and he is quoted as being a lot happier concentrating on that genre.
