With acts ranging from The Who, Cream, Eric Clapton and the Bee Gees ... plus a string of films and musicals to his name the world has lost a bit of a showman.
I never met the guy but I did visit his amazing house, and archive, on the Isle of Wight and was looking forward to another visit this year.
