Only option available for Floyd. Band of Gypsies got a bad or lukewarm reaction when released but peak Hendrix (his last year alive) is very, very tempting!
Hm... I've always been a bit lukewarm about PULSE and with such contenders as these, I really don't feel I could vote for PULSE over any of them. Thankfully there's a multi-option. \:D/

B.B. King - Live at the Regal
B.B. King - Live in Cook County Jail
Deep Purple – Made In Japan
Genesis – Seconds Out
Muddy Waters - At Newport 1960
Rush – All The World's A Stage
Rush – Exit… Stage Left
Status Quo – Quo Live!
Yes – Yessongs
Posts took from the thread about Pulse. Pink Floyd do feature, but due to the amount of other bands I think it's General Music Discussion.
How lucky were we of those that voted after reading the message from October-ish? Click below! And thanks for voting if you did.

Whoah, Quo in the Top Ten!! (Apart from azza200, are there any other Quo fans on this board?)

"I Love Paris" is a jazz tune. I guess the writer wasn't familiar with it.

Also, The River is not from 1975.

Nice to see that Rory Gallagher and Yes made the list.
I do think Frampton Comes Alive belongs in the top 10 though.

It was a good read. Surprised Thin Lizzy charted as high as they did in the poll. Thanks for voting if you did, of course.

Seconds Out has never left my player since it came out. I play that one regularly.

I would have plumped for Alchemy by Dire Straits to be up there.

I was slightly disappointed that Grand Funk Live wasn't top.

It would be interesting to see how many of these "live" albums are actually live, with no overdubs.
Any of them?

The cover notes for Grand Funk Live say: 'All recordings are unedited and all events are presented here exactly as they occurred'. But that was written by Terry Knight, so it could mean anything or nothing at all. The cover shows them playing at Atlanta International Pop Festival in 1970, but the tracks weren't recorded there, nor were they all recorded at the same venue (though they segue well to my ear).

As far as I know the Quo live album is supposed to be warts and all. So seeing that lose out to others that are said to be tinkered with is quite interesting!
