What's always confused me is how they lost money. The only thing I can figure is that they didn't know how much the expenses were going to be before the shows were scheduled. They only played about 15 shows, so they could have easily added another 10 and made some money.
I

I believe they lost money on the tour of The Wall because I was such a large production. They had to erect a grid so that they could build the wall, and then had to dismantle it and then again rebuild it at every venue.

rick was hired as a session musician for this album AFAIK, and was only credited as such...

Rick was officialy not a Floyd memeber after The Wall, on the Wall shows he was a 'session musician of sorts and was the only member to make money! He didn't record on the Final Cut because he felt it was going in the wrong direction and due to "personality clashes" between the two. That was the only album that was without Rick!

Although his contribution to AMLOR was largely ceremonial, he apparently DID play SOMETHING on that album.
probably the usual *flicking of a matchbox* even he could manage that

Well actually it is indeed half acccurate:

1. Rick was officialy not a Floyd memeber after The Wall, TRUE

2. on the Wall shows he was a 'session musician of sorts and was the only member to make money! TRUE

3. He didn't record on the Final Cut because he felt it was going in the wrong direction and due to "personality clashes" between the two. FALSE see item 1.

3. That was the only album that was without Rick! TRUE but 80% of AMLoR was without Rick too.
