White of the Eye (1987)

Post by Real Pink in the Inside »

Has anybody seen this movie? Apparently some of its soundtrack was written by Nick Mason. Is it worth checking out (either for the movie itself and/or the soundtrack)?

I have the soundtrack somewhere in my bottomless bag of music DVDs. It has never been officially released but it was supposed to be the second album from Nick Mason and Rick Fenn. It's completely instrumental and resembles "Profiles" a lot.

I've never seen the movie though.

I have a copy of the soundtrack taken directly from the movie, ie with dialogue over the top. It is hard to listen to in parts because the music is very quiet at times when the dialogue is on. Musically, it does sound similar to "Profiles" (which I really like), but perhaps not quite as rock-sounding as some of the tracks on that album.

If it was ever to be officially released as a soundtrack (ie no dialogue), I would certainly buy it.

The copy I have has no dialogues over the music. It has about 30 songs, most of which last a little over a minute. I can't remember where I obtained it from though.

Thats possibly the clips that appear on the Tree Full Of Secrets comp.

I have the movie on DVD, recorded it off ITV4 or something like that a couple of years ago, its pretty unimpressive.

Might be. I don't keep "A Tree Full Of Secrets" in the whole.
