that would be beautiful. The three of them sitting on stage with nothing but a few mics and acoustic guitars... that would be so cool.

More news about Dave's tour from Brain Damage

Another couple of dates of David Gilmour's 2006 tour, to coincide with the release of his new album, have now emerged. We have more on his Hamburg show for you, and news of a couple of Italian shows. We're hoping to get full details of the tour in the next week or so...

The venues known so far are of a similar size to his 2001/2002 dates, which should mean a nice, intimate performance. The two French dates below were given in the new issue of Rock & Folk magazine in that country, with the announcement of the shows attributed to David himself.

Here's what is known so far:

11th March - CCH, Hamburg
15th March - Grand Rex, Paris
16th March - Olympia, Paris
24th/25th March - Teatro degli Arcimboldi, Milan
Tickets for the Hamburg show are available to preorder at Karsten Jahnke Konzertdirektion, by telephone ((Germany) 040 4132260) or by email at [email protected]. The show is being held in Hall 1 of the Congress Centrum Hamburg (CCH) and ticket prices range from 47.65 euros through to 87.90 euros (plus postage).

As far as we can tell, tickets for the other shows above are NOT yet on sale, but might start selling this week. We suggest you contact the venue box offices for details.

wow! Great! I really think it would be nice to see Dave, I mean David in a more intimate venue. I think it will be a good album - its not PF and its not an opera, so perhaps he'll just be him! :P

Bound to.

Sound recording equipment, home audio DVD quality, and the added future money spinnoff mean he can get a bunch of high quality recordings of a few shows, edit them down and have a great product with very little effort.
That, and he's done it (released a movie of the concert) with everything else he's been involved in since 1984, so I can't see why he'll change now.

LOL

That's a nice present from Mr. Gilmour on my birthday

Love the fact that Robert Wyatt is contributing too. Enjoyed his appearance at the Meltdown DVD and ofcourse Gilmour's contribution to Robert's solo album.
Preisner made some nice music to Trois couleurs/Three colors! So he is a nice 'replacement' for Michael Kamen.
And as been said before: don't like the up tempo Blue Light stuff he did on the About Face album.

certainly sounds like Dave, it makes my heart ache, and my eyes water, so it must be him...

could it really be...?

if only five minutes of Dave's new album will sound like that, I will die a happy man, when it comes to that.

i will be pressing F5 on fleeting glimpse for the rest of the night
