I like out of the blue and all lovers are deranged. Good little pop songs!

I actually quite like this. Yes it is a bit 80s and has its faults but there are some good rock/pop songs on it. I wish he'd put some of the energy from this into On An Island.

I think "Murder" is Gilmour's best track as a solo artist. I especially enjoy his live, acoustic renditions. However, the rest of the album sounds exactly like the rest of the mainstream material from its era. It is quite clear that Gilmour does not have the goods to make it as a solo artist in his own right...

not so bad in the end... considering the fact he released oai years later.
lyrics are mostly crap, but that was never really important to me when it comes to Gilmours solo work.

This one's not very good IMO. I only like Near the End, and i find some of the other songs unlistenable (especially Until We Sleep). I think Murder is a bit overrated too.

A solid 3. "Near The End" is a good song, "Out Of The Blue" and "You Know I'm Right" are solid, but the rest is average to crap.
