You never know. Maybe Polly's a bit kooky or something. It seems a pretty desperate defence to me but then I'm not a lawyer of any kind never mind this kind...expensive. I take it he is expensive unless Charlie's claiming legal aid

Your point is irrelevant in this world. People have values; they erect monuments and memorials that reflect those values. Not everyone shares those values - some people despise them, and are affronted and offended by the site of an edifice (usually ostentatious) that memorialises them, and they pull those monuments down.

Wow, telling me my opinion is irrelevant - now there's a way to have a reasoned exchange of views on an internet forum! Wait..... oh yeah. Reasoned and internet, how stupid of me. Anyway, can't remember anyone taking a wrecking ball to a war memorial recently so I'm not really accepting the premise of your point in this case. Seriously, you appear to be saying that there's always going to be someone around who will want to vandalise memorials they don't believe in so I shouldn't bother having an opinion or point of view on that being unacceptable. Sorry but in my opinion, that's pretty pathetic.

Thats part of his defence ? .. No TV ? ... I thought it was usually the other way around, too much TV corrupting youth etc etc ?

So I take it these 'officers' will be given the same treatment as young Gilmour? No? I didn't think so.

I can't condone what Charlie seems to have done; however, I do feel that he might be being punished somewhat harshly merely because of who his (adoptive) father is, and very possibly because of who his mother is ...

Charlie is... released!!!! After serving four months. I had a feeling he wouldn't serve his whole sentence.
Phew! So that's the end of it.
