Rodrigo y Gabriela - 11:11
I discovered that this track, from their album of the same name, is a tribute to David Gilmour, and indeed - though I hadn't noticed it on first listening - it IS Gilmour-ish. The same track on Rodrigo y Gabriela's new album 'Area 52' is even more distinctively Gilmour-ish, using a slide guitar. In fact one of the musical phrases from 11:11 sounds like a direct copy of a Floyd riff, though I can't place it! Any Floyd experts out there who recognise it?

Isn't the whole album a tribute to all their influences? I can't find my CD so I cannot listen.

Yes - Wikipedia lists the influences for each track, including Pink Floyd for 11:11Duckboy wrote:Isn't the whole album a tribute to all their influences? I can't find my CD so I cannot listen.
