Instrumental 'Breakthrough'
I've heard there's instrumental version of 'Breakthrough'. It was played on Gilmour's solo concerts, in Paris. Is it true?

One could say that this "Gilmour" Breakthrough is more "electric" then the album version.
And yes, it was part of the repertoire from his meltdown tour in 2002 and 2003.
You can youtube it I presume.

Damn!t, I've seen video of Breakthrough from Meltdown concert. Also, I've listened to a bootleg of Breakthrough from Paris concert, 2002. And it wasn't instrumental - just like Meltdown version. It seems like instrumental version doesn't exist - at least wasn't performed live.

Re: Instrumental 'Breakthrough'
Looks like it was misinformation.
Though, there indeed was a jam with Wright and Kamen on the piano, then Caroline Dale joined them on cello.
The jam was right after Breakthrough perfomance, so the melody is kind of reminiscent of that song.

I guess you talk about the intermezzo when Mr. Gilmour had to go and "wash his hands" or how we should formulate it in the presence of the ladies...
